This course follows the Oregon DHS standards for people 18 and older who are responsible for the welfare of others.

The training includes the following subjects:

• Recognition of the symptoms of systemic allergic response (anaphylactic reaction) to insect stings and other allergens
• Familiarity with factors likely to cause systemic allergic response
• Proper administration of an injection of epinephrine
• Necessary follow-up treatment.
