This year\u2019s contest for mayor is both a study in contrasts among \ncandidates, and more prescient than usual. Whoever takes the seat will \nlead during a time of long-term decision concerning homelessness, law \nenforcement, a proposed urban renewal district for South Corvallis \u2013 and\n the list could go on. Many believe the future face of downtown could \nwell be decided in the next four years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

City Club of Corvallis has slated a noontime Town Hall for the \ncandidates to outline their visions, and field questions from the \naudience. Attendance is free, lunches are available for purchase. The \ndate: September 11, 2018.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This year\u2019s candidates are: incumbent Biff Traber,  four term City \nCouncilor Roen Hogg, and two grassroots candidates; Riley Doraine, and \nDean Codo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The event is free and open to the public. Doors will open at \n11:30 am at the Boys & Girls Club of Corvallis at 1112 NW Circle \nBlvd. The event will begin at noon, and a lunch from Valley Catering \nwill be available: $10 for members and $15 for nonmembers.
